This bugged me so today I had a look at the cause. The problem was in dfstubs.c. I will send a copy of dfstubs.c for you to look at - again, grep on CW to find the change. It was a simple matter of changing an #ifdef PC to #if defined PC && !defined PC386 I have just run the testhdf program with the following result: >testhdf For help use: testhdf -help Built with HDF Library Version: 3.3r0 Testing -- VERSION OF LIBRARY (vers) Testing -- 24BIT RASTER IMAGE INTERFACE (24bit) Testing -- 8BIT RASTER IMAGE INTERFACE (8bit) Testing -- PALETTE INTERFACE (pal) Testing -- DATASTRINGS (sdstr) Testing -- HBLOCKS (hblocks) Testing -- ANNOTATIONS (anot) Testing -- FILE ANNOTATIONS (anfile) Testing -- EXTERNAL ELEMENTS (extelt) Testing -- HFILE (hfile) Testing -- HFILE LIMITS (hfile1) Testing -- SDMMS (sdmms) Testing -- SDNMMS (sdnmms) Testing -- HYPERSLAB INTERFACE (slabs) Testing -- LITTLE-ENDIAN INTERFACE (litend) Testing -- VSET Interface Test (vset) All tests were successful. I have also done most of the other tests as suggested with no problems :-) Now, how do I go about getting this information into the contrib section of the archive so other users do not have to tread the same weary path as myself?
