THE LINKWINDS SOFTWARE ARCHIVE The following is a description of the LinkWinds version 2.1 packages available. YOU MUST MAKE THE FILE TRANSFERS IN BINARY MODE. LWX21NEWS - the announcement of the LinkWinds version 2.1 release. INSTALLING - describes methods for installing LinkWinds on your system. STARTING - explains the basic rules of LinkWinds and how to get started using it. lwx21sgi.tar.Z - the LinkWinds executable software without documentation and sample datasets. Compiled under IRIX 5. lwx21sgi.IRIX4.tar.Z - the LinkWinds executable software without documentation and sample datasets. Compiled under IRIX 4. lwx21sun.tar.Z - the alpha-test Sun version developed and compiled under the Solaris 2.4 operating system. lwx21docs.tar.Z - the LinkWinds documentation consisting of the User's Manual and the Reference Manual in both postscript and ASCII text formats. The figures for the ASCII text version are in TIFF image format files. sampleDBs.tar.Z - sample datasets to use with LinkWinds. There are five sets: An ocean atlas, an Earth elevation frame, an subsetted AVIRIS image, the Landsat image of Deadman's Butte, with elevation data, and the full Mars surface map with elevation data. LinkWinds is developed and provided through support from NASA's Space Sciences (Code S), and Mission to Planet Earth (Code Y). As you can guess, OUR FUNDING IS INFLUENCED BY THE NUMBER OF LINKWINDS USERS.
